Hey Rob, great job again on the live stream. Just curious and thankful, I have a vepr in 308 and it’s awesome and reliable. Is there a good ar platform that is reliable like the vepr? Reason for asking you is you deal first hand with other guns and guys/gals that use those other guns . I know that the British use lmt and usa uses kac. What about armalite? Or other brands. One last question, why doesn’t anyone, kvar, or a polish company import 556 ak’s? Thanks in advance.

LMT is awesome rifle. If i had money, i wouldn’t blink my eye. I honestly don’t understand why people don’t look at AR10 more favorably these days. I guess AR10 caught some shit when M110 was initially fielded into the service and KAC kind of drop the ball during initial run. But today’s M110 keeps running like an energizer bunny. I have run them many, many, many times, suppressed for over 1k rds at a time and more without a single drop of CLP and had ZERO malfunctions…to the point that suppressor had to be hammer out of the barrel…yes, that’s ZERO malfunctions while still delivering precision fire at extended ranges after being dragged through some nasty shit…

Hey Rob, thanks a lot man and keep testing any gun you and the union can afford, I don’t care what it is because knowledge about firearms is to are benifit. You know what would be cool, taking a 870 Remington shot gun through some paces. Once again thank you for all you do man. AR 10 is the next gun on my list.

I recently returned from Russia and decided to order a PSAK-47. Palmetto has them on sale and your 5000 rd torture test review seemed to indicate they were decent. I’m not of the mindset to shell out $1400-1500 for an AK, or an AR for that matter. I expect that the PSAK will serve my purposes since I am not a high volume shooter as my job prevents me from making it to the range as often as I’d like. Your State of the AK Union video seemed to cast a different light on the PSAK. I am curious to understand what changed your outlook on these guns.

    Thanks.

Any chance you will do a 5000 rd test on an IWI Galil Ace so we can see if its truly worth the price?

hey rob, curious about the definitive arms rifles , i’am assuming these are going to be rebuilt wasr’s. what does 3-400 over new price buy ? trying hard to hang with the ak bug, it just gets me bad when I take em apart to clean/inspect an find metal moving around. I rolled the dice on a c39v2 an a ddi wbp, both shoot great just cant bring myself to trust them 100%

    Rob,
From what I’m hearing in this video, it sounds like you believe the 7.62x39mm is not that great a cartridge. If that is the case, which cartridge would you say would be best as a medium range (300-800 yard) battle rifle cartridge? 5.56 NATO, 7.62 NATO, or something else?

    Thanks,
    John

John, between 300-800 yards, 7.62×51 will dominate 5.56×45, 5.45×39 and of course 7.62×39…
