In my opinion this is your best video yet. I love the history lesson combined with the shooting.

    Hello, Rob :

Thank you for creating this superb historical video of the M91/30 PU sniper rifle. I am definitely looking forward to the next in the series. I am also glad that you have chosen to refer to Alexander Yuschenko and his outstanding M9130.info blog. He has worked very diligently to bring to light so much previously unknown technical and historical information on Soviet / Russian firearms development, and i feel he certainly deserves your endorsement.

One thing I would like to add that I am sure you know all too well, but which most people don’t appreciate, is the fact that the sniper has to deal with a whole host of battlefield factors that directly or indirectly impact his / her ability to achieve accurate shot placement on the intended target, which is the final goal at the end of a long train of events. These factors may include physical strain and exhaustion after deploying for long distances on foot against time, being subject to potential detection and counter-fire, sudden and unexpected changes in target movement and position, variations in weather, climate and visibility, and the psychological and mental effects of long-term strain in combat and the need to survive on the battlefield, among others. It is already challenging enough to be able to hit a target squarely at long distances on a range when one has the luxury of time and place of choosing with no other factors to consider, let alone achieve the kinds of results that have been repeatedly demonstrated.

As always, thanks very much for your hard work and generosity in sharing all this with us!
