I have a PSA 103 SF with only 317 rounds fired so far. My question is, what is the correct firing pin protrusion? When I received the rifle I was experiencing a lot of light strikes, so they sent me two new firing pins. Now I am piercing primers with some ammo brands. Protrusion measured .067”. I shortened the firing pin (very little) and it is now .056” and haven’t had a chance to retest. What should the correct protrusion be? I have a GF3 that was purchased that same week, and while not as bad, is having the same issue. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

If i remember this correctly it is between Min 1.40 mm and Max 1.52 mm. I would open warranty claim in your case.

Thanks for the reply Rob, love your channel and everything you do for the AK community! I’ll go to the range next week and try it again because it should be in spec now (1.42mm). This also helps me with the GF3, which by my measurements is Currently at (1.75mm). As an aside, both rifles have ran Barnual and wolf black box fine and were piercing golden tigger and Tula bad, at least one in 10. This would freeze the FP in the 103 almost every time! I like to tinker myself before I send it back, if it still does it next week, I’ll send it for warranty work. Thanks again!

Would you kindly share with me how you effectively mounted an OSS 7.62 suppressor on the AK-103? I have an AK-P coming in from PSA and would appreciate it if you would further elaborate/explain the route for suppressors.

So far I’ve been looking at: OSS HX-QD 7.62, OSS QD mount (was looking at their flash hider), and then some form of thread adapter?

I’m picking up a PSA 103 soon, and would also like to know how you mounted the OSS Adapter! It looks like the Front sight is the threaded portion, so could there be an increased risk of baffle strikes?

OSS has 24mm muzzle device for their cans! Link: https://www.shop.akoperatorsunionlocal4774.com/searchquick-submit.sc?keywords=oss
I always check alignment with rod – so far, no issues on any of the PSA AKs.
