    Hi rob,
Love the info you provide. I currently have a c39v2 I purchased a couple of months ago. After watching your videos I think I’m going to get rid of it and get something without issues of possible catastrophic failure. In your opinion what would be my best option as far as durability and long term reliability? I’m considering an Arsenal SLR and maybe this zastafa.
    Thanks

Arsenal is a good choice and that new Zastava M70 with bulged trunnion and chrome lined barrel should be on your radar too!

    Hey Rob,

Just picked the new ZPAP and and this is my first ak 47 so I’ve got a few questions for you. If I “ride” the bolt it becomes stuck with the charging handle directly in line with the magazine release. It’s no isssue if I let it fly back into battery. The only reason I notices this was due to a noticeable scraping sound. So my question is why do you think this is happening. Is it the BCG rubbing against the trigger group. Also I wounder if this could be caused by the dust cover rubbing against the bolt carrier body, as i noticed light black streaking on the bolt? Is this anything to be concerned about?

Finally it appears the cleaning rods do not fit into the polymer variants as the furniture partially blocks the cleaning rod holding area ( this was noticed on both mine and my two brothers, who also purchased this new import). If your interested in any pictures or videos of this let me know

    Thanks Ben

Ben, “stuck bolt” will go away – this is normal. Just shoot it and break in gun.
Cleaning rod needs some wiggling – most likely when inserting it you are hitting edge of front trunnion. You could remove gas tube and see it will give you better view. Use flat screw driver to push it out from the edge of trunnion.

Ben- I reached out to zastava USA about this and they told me that the rod doesn’t fit in the poly furniture.

    Hi Rob

If you were to get a entry level AK now would you get a WASR 10 or the new ZPAP M70?

    Thank You

    Hi Rob,

Thank you for your videos! Because of this video and your subsequent videos on the new Zastava, I purchased my new ZPAP M70 today. I plan to take it out this weekend to zero and break it in with a few hundred rounds. Again, thank you and keep up the great videos.

    James
