I really love that you guys are giving the 54r VEPRs some air time because they are such superb rifles with a ton of firepower on the cheap that need more praise. A year or so ago I foolishly sold a 20″ VEPR 54r with a nice 8x POSP D scope that I’m killing myself over. Now I’m waiting for AIM to get more. Sad the SGM mags suck..more sad that nobody else is making mags for this gun..just so hard to work with rimmed cartridges.

I really like Veprs too. Very nicely done rifles.

What version of the American Defense 30mm rings are you using? Thank you for the video and build ideas!

Too bad there isn’t a 18″ vepr in 54r! That would be a neat barrel length!

I think we will see 19″ version very soon…;-)

So I have recently purchased a nodak spud psl receiver in 7.62x54r. I am trying to get together the right parts to assemble. I was thinking an rpk trunnion because I cannot find any “real” psl trunnions. Any other parts you would recommened, including barrel?

So curious how much would it cost to build one of these on that platform.

Rob… is there a way to fit a Bulgarian triangle folder on a slant back vepr in 7.62 x54r? I’m looking at the khyber customs khyber combo. Thanks

Have you guys looked at any mods to upgrade the VEPR x54R to use magazines with more than 5-10 round capacity? I’ve heard that the SGM 10 round mags are hit or miss, csspec made a 10 rounder that is as expensive as all get out (and still doesn’t work with all VEPRs), and I’ve also heard of others that have modded their VEPR to accept Lahti M26 20 round mags. Would like to see what the “union” has to say about it. 🙂
