Awesome video Rob, thanks for everything you do. Are you still doing the live feeds?
When time allows…just not enough time for everything. Maybe this friday…
Hey Rob, I was looking tonight and thinking about my next ak74 purchase .either a 104fr or vepr fm ak74-11, I don’t find anyone who sells spare bolts and such for the vepr, now the arsenal you can get parts for. In the grand scheme of things it probably won’t matter but, if something should happen what would you do? Thanks
Kvar has spare parts for them
Hello, Rob.
First of all, thank you for the information you provide. It has been most helpful and as of late I’ve needed alot if help concerning the AK platform. Let me explain:
Forever I have been like, “$@&! AK! Never will I buy AK! Why do I need an AK?!?”. My son, who has been shooting with me since he was 5 or 6 (he’s 13 now) always asks me, “Dad, can we get an AK?”, and I’m like… see above.
lol!
So now I need to learn the platform so I can teach him. I’ve watched alot of your vids, have scoured the internet, have talked to some local owners… My question: What do I absolutley NEED to know to make sure I’m teaching my son right on this rifle? He already know’s abc’s of saftey and shoots many different platforms i.e. pistol, revolver, 10/22, ar, bolt action, pump shotgun. 22lr to 30. 06
Thank you in advance and yes, your shop will have my patronage
PS
After learning a bit about the platform and listening to people such as youself, I have found great respect for this rifle…
Thank you.
Teach him how to use iron sights – this good start (assuming he is fluent with safety and basic operations).
Thank you for the response.
I have taught him to shoot every firearm we have with the iron sights which came on the weapon first, then with any optic we may have for said weapon. With the exception of a few rifles we have that don’t have irons. But thank you. That’s great advice.
I picked up his rifle yesterday, (it will be a birthday/christmas present) and had a chance to take a look under the hood. My first experience with an ak was much like my first experience looking at the guts of a glock; I was amazed at the simplicity. I look forward to sighting in this rifle and then putting it away until next december when I get to see the look on his face when he recieves his new rifle.
Until then I will do my best to maintain my outward disgust of the AKM platform!
Once again, thank you for what you do.
