WE had been talking about the Definitive AK 74 coming out soon which was supposed to be last week of July. I emailed Atlantic Firearms and received a very good answer and reason why they were delayed. Here is the answer.

“We had a delay because we decided to replace the Original surplus furniture on the fixed stock guns with new K VAR US 74 furniture the surplus looked a bit beat up on the beautiful new gun.”

Hopefully we will see a beauty appear soon, This won’t be no AK Whore Rob, She be my Baby so don’t talk bad about her…Thanks

Gotta say Rob, tasty as these new reviews are, I am interested in seeing what the new PSAK-47 from Palmetto State can do. Think you will get a crack at one in the near future?

    Rob,
I recently picked up one of these rifles and I’m very impressed with the quality. I’m trying to replace the stock with a rifle dynamics adaptor and can’t seem to get the factory butt stock off. I removed the two screws, but the stock still won’t budge. Is there something else holding it in there, or is it just seated really tightly? I’d like to remove it without destroying it in the process. I tried knocking it out from the inside by using a dowel and hammer, but so far I’ve just made marks on the tang of the stock, and I don’t want to mess it up too badly. Thanks.

Yep, it sits very tight. Now, take longer punching tool and from receiver side, put it against that plastic front end of stock and hammer it out. You can remove safety lever to get more clearance.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try.

Yes, they moved to IN now and they are going to have regular production. Keep an eye on copper customs.
