Scopes for AKs – Primary Arms Scopes Review by Russian Spetsnaz Combat Instructors

Primary Arms Scopes honestly took me by surprise. Because of their very affordable price point, I wasn’t really sure what to expect in terms of quality and durability. Fortunately, I had 2 solid reinforcements with me: Dima Ermak and Dima Grizdak – both, Russian Spetsnaz Combat Instructors. We were all working intensively with these scopes through last few weeks in order to give you our feedback. This is our latest video review on this subject…Scopes for AKs – Primary Arms Scopes Review by Russian Spetsnaz Combat Instructors!

I got one of these and am returning it. They seem to be well made, but the battery life really stinks. Just a few days and they are done. Saving up for an Acog..

Yes, battery life is weak, but i honestly run them without illumination. You will see, when you will get ACOG, you are going to endup covering “light strip” with the tape anyhow. Trust me on this…

The 7.62×39 1-6x is supposed to be available soon; I’ve seen you use this scope in some videos, to me that is a plus, however I have also heard about some problems with it, supposedly this will be fixed with the next run of the product. What is your opinion, is it worth the money, is it worth the risk?

Yes, we have 50 coming to the Union store!!! I’m using Gen2 for over 2 months now and i had zero problems with it. We had it in cold and wet weather, rain, snow and mud…it still works…:-)

I’m curious if the Spetsnaz guys would be willing to take these scopes into combat with them. Did they think these were tough/durable enough to hold up in combat type environment?

PA doesn’t sell them in Russia…

But did your spetsnaz friends think it was tough enough to withstand combat type conditions?
