The Venom Antidote AK47 / AKM Muzzle Brake Review

14/06/10 at 12.52pm   /   by Rob Ski   /   17 Comments

Rifle Dynamics Venom Antidote AK47 / AKM Muzzle Brake is one of the most advanced AK brakes design I have ever seen. We have run this muzzle brake through the multiple tests to see how it is going to perform in different categories: muzzle control, flash hiding and side pressure wave (how comfortable it is for your teammates). Of course the Big Question is, is it worth it’s price? Well, watch this video review to see if you agree with us!
Ps. Big Thanks to Paul Minder for helping…;-)

In your experience or personal opinion is it possible to run a 7.62×39 with flip up iron sights along with venom antidote

You would have to find something like micro rear sight. Check Troy.

How would I go about changing the muzzle brake on in the rh10 AK47 for the Venom tactical muzzle brake? Is there a Crush Washer involved? Is the birdcage style brake pinned or is it removable by hand?

It is just jammed against the end of the thread…they may not be enough meat left on the barrel for crush washer. We give it away that rifle, so i can’t really check…

How easy would this get clogged up if the AK is tossed into the mud (or drug through a creek)? Would it be hard to clean out? Without seeing one in person its hard to determine from video reviews.

You can clog them up for sure. Water would be very helpful to get them clean up.

How many rounds can the venom antidote handle before it needs to be replaced?

Should be able to handle thousands of rounds unless you are pushing excessive heat on it.
