What’s up Rob glad to see the rifle is still running I have a question about my wasr 10 (2015) I have almost 500 red through it and I’ve had 4 malfunctions where the bolt was pressed on top of the round right near the casing lip instead of pushing into the chamber from behind every time was the first round that was manually chambered it happened with both the original mag pull mag and the Romanian surplus mag ….. it it possible that my mags are sitting a cunt hair to low?

Thank you for all the info I’ve gotten from your videos

Yes, try to lift it up mag with your hand when in lock position and see if this helps. I’m wondering if they file mag release catch too much…

Thanks for the reply yeah I’m guna mess around with pushing the mag up and even try pulling it down to see if I can make it happen I will probably just try replacing the catch either way

Hey Rob I just recently baught a wasr on gunbroker that was advertised new old stock. It was a 2015 model and did look brand new. But the front sight post was all the way left as far as it would go. The front sight block was dead straight as was everything else. So I stripped the barrel down and found that the barrel was bent. Everything else on the rifle was perfect so I didnt want to send it back to century to let them beat on it. So I took my 12 ton shop press out to the gravel pit and basically zeroed the rifle with the press. Looking down the barrel it looks pefectly straight. And it shoots tight groups and doesnt shift when the barrel gets hot. My question is, do you think bending the barrel could have created a weak spot that could be dangerous and would you recomend I swap the barrel out anyways?

I would probably swap the barrel, especially because you are capable of doing it on your own…

If you were to pick between an npap and ddi which do you think is the better rifle? I miss the days when wasr’s were cheaper and more available.

I am loving this firearm. Question? The muzzle break on your shop site…will it fit a WASR 10?

    Great instructional vids on YouTube.

Bought the Fighter Break, earlier this year. So far, so good.
I recommend the ALG trigger, also.

    Hi,

Did you ever straighten the canted sight or did you just live with it? My new 2019 is pretty canted. Debating on straightening it or leaving it.

I didn’t straighten them out, because rifle zeroed with it. Annoying? Yes! But that’s kind of common on AKs…
